WOW!!
Dominance!
In its first Rose Bowl
since 1996 the Buckeyes really sent a message. We are a very
good team especially when Rose Bowl MVP, Terrelle Pryor, plays
up to his incredible potential. Even his partially torn knee
ligament couldn't stop him from making a dramatic statement
with his play. In ther first drive of the game he scampered
for a first down and limped noticably as he headed out of
bounds at the end of the run.
The Bucks overcame the
loss of several players due to team infractions or grade
problems. Only Ray Small was a noted loss as the team's punt
and kick return squad struggled. The only other weak point for
the Bucks was there kickoff coverage with Oregon regularly
achieving good field position after a Buckeye
score.
None of these problems
ultimately mattered as Pryor took the team on his back and led
quality drives that had the Buckeyes with over a two to one
time of possession advantage. Thanks to the Buckeye defense,
Oregon rarely had any rhythm. In fact, they made just two of
eleven third down conversions.

Summer
Picnic
The 4th
Annual Pikes Peak Buckeyes Summer Picnic took place on June
28th at the pavilions at Monument Valley Park.
Buckeyes gathered to talk, eat, and
generally enjoy each other's
company!
Buffalo Wild
Wings provided
wings & appetizers as they have in year's past (many
thanks to Buckeye friend & manager at BWW, Eric
Gray!). The Pikes Peak Buckeyes Leadership Group
provided a Buckeye cake for all to
enjoy.
As usual,
we will raffled off some Ohio State
goodies.
Tyler Nofzinger, one of our
scholarship recipients, and his folks joined the group.
Everyone enjoyed meeting and chatting with them. We are sure
to see his folks this fall at the football
games.
Thanks again to all those involved in
the planning of this great event & GO BUCKS!!
